Greeting from New Zealand !!

I am enjoying this wonderful land and am on a nine-day break now, back to work in Wanganui Jan. 5th.  Staying in Napier, NZ, a seaside tourist resort area on the east side of the North Island.  You can look it up on Wikipedia  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napier,_New_Zealand  Napier is the Art Deco capital, along with South Beach, Miami, Fl.   It is summer here and there is lots of activity with school out and folks on holiday

I am staying on the third floor at the Shoreline Motel for a few nights.  It is on Marine Drive across the street from the beach here in Napier.  There are no hotels on the beach side of the street.  All that land is for public access. and there is a miles-long wide paved trail for walking  along the beach.  Beautiful.

 "Motel" is not what I would call this accomodation.  It is a better room than that at many upscale hotels I have stayed in.  There is a large balcony with teak table and chairs overlooking the water and the sunrise, winding stairways up to the rooms and a lovely deck out back with wooden park benches, palm trees and a view of the sunset.   A large flat-screen TV with DVD player, a king bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, a writing desk, a dining table and chairs, comfortable living room chairs with ottoman, a gorgeous bathroom and a huge hottub/jacuzzi complete the room.  These Kiwis certainly know how to impress.
