Prostate Concerns

As the population of western societies ages, more and more men become concerned about the risk of prostate cancer.
Of course people worry about getting cancer. Dispite decades of research there is still a failry high mortality rate associated with many types of cancers. Why? The answers to that question are longer and much more complicated than one could imagine but suffice it to say that a cure for all cancers is probably no where in the forseeable future.
Prostate cancer treatment can leave some men with long-term sexual and urinary problems. Not a pleasant thought. So what can men do to detect prostate cancers early on and to take the best course of action if cancer is detected.
A leading researcher recently published an article in the New York Times. it is well worth the read. Check it out here http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/10/opinion/10Ablin.html?emc=eta1
